Die vom Contest-Ausrichter festgelegten Regeln für den SEO-Contest sind:

6. Teilnahmemeldung: Teilnehmer müssen bis zum 16. Dezember 2016 ihre Seite beim Contestausrichter anmelden.

7. Gewinnerkürung: Gewonnen hat diejenige Seite (Domain), die in sechs Ranking-Messungen bei Google am 13., 14. und 15. März die besten Werte aus diesen Messungen erreicht.
