Der aktuelle SEO-Contest zum Such-Keyword “SEO Hero” wurde in den USA ausgerufen. Dieser weltweite Wettbewerb wird vom CMS-Portal-Anbieter WiX.com ausgerichtet. Mit SEO HERO ist ein "Held des SEO" gemeint.

Ziel: Dieser SEO-Contest (oft auch als SEO-Challenge bezeichnet) ist ein Wettkampf von Suchmaschinen-Spezialisten. Ein solcher Contest hilft beim Studium der Wirkungsweise von Suchmaschinen.

Austragungsweise: Im Unterschied zu bisherigen SEO-Wettbewerben wurde kein erfundenes neues Wort wie “RaketenSEO” festgelegt, sonder eine Kombination gängiger Wörter (englischsprachig: seo + hero) als Suchphrase ausgewählt.

Sehr wichtig für ein gutes Ranking ist auch ein störungsfreier Zugang der Suchmaschine zu den Inhalten (Content) teilnehmender Seiten, um diesen möglichst vollständig erfassen zu können.

6. Teilnahmeanmeldung: Teilnehmer müssen bis zum 16. Dezember 2016 ihre Seite beim Contestausrichter anmelden.

7. Wer wird Gewinner: Gewonnen hat diejenige Seite (Domain), die in sechs Ranking-Messungen bei Google am 13., 14. und 15. März die besten Werte aus diesen Messungen erreicht.
